Demo In A Day - £250

Recording

I work closely with two recording studios in the UK: Ten21 near Maidstone, Kent and The Backstage Centre in Purfleet, Essex. Please scroll down to the 'packages' section for more information about large projects.

I strongly recommend tracking drums or a full band at Ten21 due to it's three isolated recording booths.

Ten21 Recording Studios: £40 an hour

The Backstage Centre is perfect for recording demos, vocals and all other acoustic/electric instruments other than drums.

The Backstage Centre: £30 an hour

My home studio is perfect for writing, mixing, audio edits, and all the other time consuming production work that goes into putting a project together. It is also ideal for demo recordings. I tend to mix in Logic Pro X and exclusively use Waves, Spectrasonics and AOM plug-ins for mixing and MIDI samples . For larger projects Sam's studio is ideal for recording bass, electric guitar, piano/keyboard and backing vocals.

Sam's Home Studio: £20 an hour

Mixing

I either mix from home or at The Backstage Centre depending on the needs of the artist.

One Song Unattended: £100 per song/£15 an hour (whichever works out cheaper)

ne Song at The Backstage Centre: £300 per song/£30 an hour (whichever works out cheaper)

Arranging and scoring

Arrangements - £10-30 an hour

For the uninitiated, arranging is a dark art that can either make or break a song. We will take your song and discuss the following ways to frame what is undoubtedly already a killer melody, hook or chord progression.

  • Structure of the song
  • Reharmonisation of certain sections
  • Change or add instruments
  • New material
  • Transitions: modulations, link passages, intros and endings
  • Adding a horn/string section

Scoring - £10-30 an hour

Having certain parts of your song scored out is essential if you want to add something a little different. Maybe you have a session musician in mind to add something unique to your project? Maybe you want a horn section to fatten the song up, a string section to add some emotion or a solo instrument that needs to played remotely.

We can help you create clear, professional charts and scored parts for any style of music.

All rates are for unsigned artists or groups. We request that record labels and corporate contact us directly for a competitive and fair quote. Large projects may require the use of a studio assistant at an additional cost to the client.
